VIENNA A young Turkish woman gave birth to a baby girl on Sunday on a flight from Turkey to Germany while the plane was over Austria, the Austrian news agency reported. Zelika Dogan, 18, went into labor on board the Air Alfa plane which had taken off from Antalya en route for Stuttgart. Members of the crew and a mother of two helped her give birth.

The plane, which had 250 passengers on board, made an emergency landing in Vienna before taking off again an hour and a half later for Stuttgart. (Reurter)
